After a spirited and somewhat painful discussion about lent with some dear girlfriends, I think I'm giving up Lent for Lent this year.
I was going to give up spending money on myself for the 40 days- but then I was convicted for NOT keeping that to myself. Am I doing it for attention?
Instead, I'm adding more prayer time to my life. That's good, it's a better way of spending "down time" than mindless tv..and who can't use a little more prayer?
